Disclosure of voting rights

Reference is made to the extraordinary general meeting in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (`the Company`) in Trondheim on 24 June 2009, where Kaare M. Gisvold has received 6 203 525 power of attorneys.

Together with the 223 635 shares that Gisvold owns or controls by himself, Gisvold will in total control 6 427 160 shares at the extraordinary general meeting, representing 9.89 percent of outstanding shares.
