A summer internship at Aker BP offers 6-8 weeks of hands-on experience within a relevant field, giving you valuable insight into our industry and what it is like to work with us. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, expand your professional network, and connect with fellow summer interns through both social and professional activities.

You will be part of an inclusive and enthusiastic team, responsible for leading the way in the race to become the first data driven E&P company. Digital Transformation is imperative to reach this business goal, where we are currently applying modern technologies such as Digital Twins, AI, machine learning, robotics, and automation.

Typical work tasks can be data analysis, modelling, and architecture, including work with metadata, reference data and master data. Develop and improve data pipelines, data products and integrations using modern cloud technologies, enabling trusted and accessible data across the organization and explore and apply AI, machine learning and automation techniques to solve real business challenges, improve decision making, and unlock value from industrial data.

Your exact assignment will be decided based on our business needs combined with your field of expertise and your interests.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a relevant master program within Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Cybernetics, Automation or similar and currently in your 3rd or 4th year of study.
  • Interested in and knowledge about technology, automation, digitalization, new digital tool sets.
  • English and Norwegian language working proficiency.
