Solution Architecture is a vital part of the Architecture Excellence function within the Digital Execution & Technology business units in AkerBP. As an excellence function, Architecture Excellence is responsible for architecture competency, services, and resources, and has an important role in Aker BP’s ambition to be the world’s first data-driven E&P company.

The Solution Architecture team is responsible for architecture design for solutions, portfolio of solutions, value streams, and products. As a manager, you will ensure your team of Solution Architects aligns their work with enterprise architecture standards and guidelines, advancing our holistic architecture toward the target state.

We are looking for a leader with a strong passion and commitment to people and leadership. You will be responsible for 10-20 people (employees and consultants) spread across Aker BP’s digital initiatives and projects. The role reports to the Chief Enterprise Architect and will work closely with the Chief EA to manage and develop the new Architecture Excellence function.

Typical work tasks can be:

• Responsible for building identity, shaping the organisation, and developing the people within your high-performing team.
• Planning and prioritizing, facilitating, and removing obstacles.
• Personnel responsibility and competence development.
• Optimizing work methodology, processes, and frameworks for Solution Architecture.

Skills and qualifications:

• Min. 5 years management experience (Delivery, Team and/or personnel management).
• Knowledge and experience in coaching and developing teams and individuals.
• Team-oriented person who can work both at a strategic and operational level.
• Min. 5 years’ experience with architecture (enterprise, solution or technical) in larger enterprises.
• Ability to secure decisions and anchoring with stakeholders internally and externally.
• Tackles demanding goals enthusiastically and proactively act on opportunities.
• Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
• Experience with developing for Azure/Cloud/Big Data and data pipelines is an advantage
