Aker BP has a large, complex and exciting portfolio of ongoing oil and gas development projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, with a total investment amounting to more than 200 billion NOK. The Project Completion team has been set up to bring the projects from the drawing board to the completion of new offshore installations. Through development and use of digital tools we are bringing project completion into the future.

We are now looking to further strengthen the Project Completion team with a Senior SAS engineer. As a Senior SAS engineer you will play a critical role in designing, integrating and overseeing Safety and Automation Systems in one or multiple projects. You will closely follow up the projects from engineering to mechanical completion and commissioning on the different sites and offshore.

Typical work tasks can be:

• Lead the design and integration of SAS systems, ensuring robust system design and integration across other disciplines
• Close follow up and coordination of MC/commissioning on site and offshore
• Ensure that the project requirements and industry standards are maintained
• Collaborate and ensure close interaction with relevant functions and disciplines such as project support, engineering, construction and operation
• Ensure and promote continuous improvement throughout the project cycle

Skills and qualifications:

• Pro-active, and be able to promote and define scope for own work
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• SAS engineering experience in addition to long commissioning experience will be considered an advantage
• Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and Document Management Systems.
• Familiarity with the NCS standards and NORSOK requirements
• Experience working within oil & gas Brownfield projects will be considered beneficial
• Technical education on BSc level or higher within ICT. Relevant experience can compensate for education.
• Minimum 10-15 years' of relevant experience within the SAS discipline
• Fluent/good abilities in English and/or Norwegian, both verbal and written
