Senior IT Technical Engineer – Exploration and Reservoir Services

This position is part of IT Operations and the IT Infrastructure Management team. We are responsible for the IT Infrastructure in Aker BP, onshore and offshore. To strengthen the Expres team, we are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer working in the interface between infrastructure, applications and data for the IT Exploration and Reservoir Services (ExpRes).

In this role, you will bridge infrastructure, application technology and the use of underground data for an optimal end-user experience. You will collaborate with motivated and passionate individuals, and you must enjoy communication with people as stakeholder management is an important part of this role. Together, we strive to innovate and excel, contributing to a significant impact in our field.

Typical work tasks can be:

• You are the focal point; leading implementation, optimisation, benchmarking and performance testing

• You will provide support and advice to the business

• You are active in the technical dialogue with Aker BP vendors and providers

• You will investigate and participate in the implementation of new technologies

Skills and qualifications:

• Education – university degree within Data Science or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for education.

• Very good understanding of the Expres Application portfolio, Infrastructure and some knowledge of Data Management

• Since this position requires multidiscipline skills, we expect minimum 10 years' experience that gives you relevant experience with IT Infrastructure (Storage, (Citrix) VDI, compute), the Expres Application portfolio and knowledge of underground data management.

• Fluent abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
