This position is part of an enthusiastic team that is responsible for HSE disciplines in Aker BP, more specifically the Climate and External Environment group. We are responsible for ensuring that our operations are following environmental regulations, both external legislation and internal requirements.

We support the operative business units with external environment expertise and advice, from development projects to operations and drilling and wells. You will be responsible for following up development projects from early phase to decommissioning.

Typical work tasks can be:

  • Map environmental aspects for development projects and be able to perform and facilitate Best Available Technique (BAT) evaluations from early phase to decommissioning.
  • Contribute with input to Environmental Impact Assessments and follow up commitments.
  • Prepare applications for discharge and report according to requirements in permits and guidelines.
  • Prepare and follow up plans for visual and sediment surveys and be able to communicate with relevant authorities.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Education – Master degree within relevant disciplines (i.e. Environment, Chemistry, Process Engineer) or a Bachelor degree with relevant practical experience can be considered equivalent with a Master degree
  • Minimum 7 years’ external environment experience within the E&P industry
  • The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed.
  • Fluent abilities in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written

Locations: Stavanger, Trondheim or Oslo. Please specify your preferred location in your application. Some offshore travel will be required.
