Need to have

  • Final year student or recent graduate with an M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering or related fields (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Cybernetics, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Economy).

  • Strong fundamental engineering understanding.

  • Curiosity for complex, real-world operational challenges.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect calculations and data to practical decisions.

  • Eagerness to spend significant time offshore, gaining hands-on experience.

  • Fluent in English for professional communication and hold a valid EEA work permit.

  • Achieved a 'B' average or higher (or equivalent) in academic results, with grades directly assessed from transcripts.

  • Relevant experience from studies, internships, technical summer jobs (with references), academic projects, or a master's/project thesis specifically related to petroleum engineering, reservoir management, production optimization, or well completion design.

  • Working knowledge of relevant data analysis and simulation tools (e.g., Python, Power BI, Petrel, Eclipse, Olga, Pipesim, Techlog, Prosper/Gap, MATLAB, SQL, Tableau, DTS systems).

  • Practical experience using AI tools for personal work efficiency (e.g., analysis, documentation, code generation) and a keen interest in applying AI/machine learning to optimize petroleum systems, analyze surveillance data, and identify new production opportunities.

Through a series of rotations and a crucial offshore placement, you will develop the skills to handle complex technical problems and contribute to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement by optimizing our petroleum systems.

  • Digital transformation
    Digitalize and optimize our petroleum systems, connecting data and advanced analytics to real-world production challenges.

  • Production surveillance
    Plan and utilize our surveillance systems to optimize hydrocarbon production and injection strategies.

  • Opportunity identification
    Identify and evaluate new production opportunities to maximize value creation from our assets.

  • Well completion design
    Design and evaluate well completions for optimal production and injection performance.

  • Technology implementation
    Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies to enhance business efficiency and sustainability.

Your journey in Petroleum Engineering

This isn't a narrow specialization. You'll gain a holistic view by rotating through the core disciplines that drive our petroleum systems, from reservoir characterization to production optimization.

  • Reservoir engineering
    Learn to characterize reservoirs, simulate fluid flow, and forecast production to optimize recovery.

  • Production optimization
    Master techniques for maximizing output from wells and fields, including artificial lift and flow assurance.

  • Data science in petroleum
    Apply advanced data analytics and machine learning to interpret subsurface data and improve decision-making.

  • Field development
    Contribute to strategic planning for new and existing fields, considering technical, economic, and environmental factors.

  • Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
    Explore innovative methods to increase recovery from mature fields, pushing the boundaries of petroleum extraction.

  • Integrated operations & AI
    Work with digital teams to implement AI solutions for real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.
