Privacy

When you are in contact with Aker BP online, you give the company access to information about you. The privacy statement tells what information we collect, how we do it, and what we use the information for.

What is personal information?

Personal information is information that can be linked to you, such as name, telephone number and e-mail. How you use a website is considered personal information. For example, what you have clicked on, newsletters you subscribe to, and who you “like”.

Information we collect

To know how people use our website, we retrieve information using search fields and cookies.

Search field

We store information about keywords you and other users enter in the search field. Only the keywords are saved, so they can not be linked to you as a person.

Cookies from Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to get statistics on how visitors navigate and use our web pages. For example, we get to know the time of day, which pages they visit, and how long they use the page. We do not store any personal information about this.

Google Analytics uses cookies; small text files that the site stores on your computer. To ensure your privacy, we use anonymizeIP, a feature that allows all information that can identify you, including IP address, to be anonymized.

At nettvett.no you can read about cookies and see how you manage them in your own browser.

Information you provide

Newsletter

You can sign up for newsletters from us. For this we need to save your e-mail address. The information is not shared with others and is not used for other purposes. If you enter an e-mail address to subscribe to newsletters, but do not respond to the confirmation message we send, your e-mail will be stored for a period in our system. Then we do not send newsletters, and such unconfirmed addresses are deleted from time to time. You can request to stop this service at any time. When you receive a newsletter, you can also unsubscribe yourself using the unsubscribe link. We delete personal information when you no longer want to receive messages from us, and you can always request access to what information is stored about your membership.

Press releases from Cision

You can subscribe to stock press releases and stock announcements from Cision via Aker BP’s website. Your email address is routed directly to Cision and is not stored by Aker BP through this service.

Recruitment

When you apply for a job at Aker BP, your information is stored in SAP SuccessFactors. Personal data is only used for recruitment purposes and is processed in accordance with GDPR requirements. You can delete personal data at any time by logging in to your profile and clicking “options”> “settings for”> “delete profile”. Personal data will then be deleted and you will be removed from jobs that you have applied for.

Feedback / user tests

From time to time, we perform online testing using pop-up tests or buttons such as “Did you find what you were looking for?”. We do not ask for personal information in such tests, so your answers can not be traced back to you.

Notification service

If you observe conditions that may conflict with Aker BP’s ethical guidelines, you can submit a message via a notification form where you choose whether you respond anonymously or not. The information is received and processed by an independent third party, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Aker BP does not store personal information in connection with notification.
