Privacy
When you are in contact with Aker BP online, you give the company access to information about you. The privacy statement tells what information we collect, how we do it, and what we use the information for.
Information we collect
To know how people use our website, we retrieve information using search fields and cookies.
Search field
We store information on which search terms you and other users enter into the search field. Only the search terms are stored in the analysis tool, so they cannot be linked to you as an individual.
Plausible Analytics
We use the analytics tool Plausible Analytics to obtain statistics on how visitors navigate and use our site. Plausible Analytics is a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies. It only collects anonymised information, so we do not have access to personal data that can identify you. The analytics service runs on servers in Norway.
Vimeo as video service
We use Vimeo as a third-party video service to display videos on our website. Vimeo may set cookies to ensure functionality, but the service is implemented in a way that prevents Vimeo from tracking data about you as a user.
Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our website from misuse and automated systems, we use Google reCAPTCHA. This tool collects information about the user, including IP address and user actions on the page, to determine whether an action is performed by a human or a machine. Data is sent to Google in the USA, and processing is conducted according to Google’s privacy policy.

You can subscribe to press and stock exchange announcements from Cision via Aker BP’s website. Your email address is routed directly to Cision and is not stored by Aker BP through this service. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time through Cision.
Participation in events or activities
If you sign up for an event or activity with us, we will collect and store necessary contact information, such as your name, email address, and possibly your phone number. This information is only used for the administration of the event or activity, and will not be shared with others unless necessary for its completion. The data will be deleted after the event, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Contacting Aker BP
When you use the contact form on our website, your email address, along with any other contact information you provide, is stored. The inquiry is sent directly to the chosen contact person/department at Aker BP and is only kept as long as necessary to address your query.
Recruitment / Job application
When you apply for a job at Aker BP, we process information about you to evaluate your application. The purpose of this processing is to conduct effective recruitment processes and hire the right candidate for the position.
Your job application and personal information are stored in SAP SuccessFactor as long as you have a candidate profile. You may delete your personal data at any time by logging into your profile. Personal data is deleted, and you are removed as a job applicant for the positions you have applied for.
Whistleblowing service
If you observe behaviour that may conflict with Aker BP’s ethical guidelines, you can submit a report via the whistleblowing form, where you can choose to respond anonymously or not. The information is received and processed by an independent third party, KPMG. Personal data is deleted two months after the alert is received unless it is necessary to store it longer to follow up on the report.
