Digitalization
Digitalization has the ambition to accelerate the transformation that will ensure Aker BP remains a competitive business. It is introducing new solutions to change processes and human behavior in a very conservative environment. So, it needs to use technology to make implementation less complex, shorter and cheaper.
We use three approaches to drive our digital transformation:
- Change of end-to-end processes instead of focusing on isolated use cases
- Innovative business models that accelerate value creation
- Our employee’s ability to work with data
Aker BP prioritizes digital efforts based on the end-to-end transformation of five processes: Maintenance & Integrity, Integrated design & field development, Well construction & Intervention, Subsurface interpretation & modelling and Production optimization & energy management. The general ambition across these processes is to better integrate and automate them but also to find innovative ways of using data to create additional value.
The results will unlock benefits making Aker BP significantly more productive and sustainable, i.e. find and produce more boe using less investments and at lower costs in addition to deliver on stablished ESG norms. Then, these benefits can be translated to company or asset specific goals in relation to:
- Break-even cost
- OPEX
- Exploration costs
- CO2 emission
- Time to first oil
