This position is focused on follow-up of the safety instrumented systems in the operational phase of the assets. It is a cross discipline approach, but position will report to maintenance manager. Aker BP is currently running an improvement initiative to bring the follow-up of SIS equipment to a higher level. This position will take an important role in operationalizing the framework changes that is proposed by the project. Key strengths is to have communicative and coordination skills, as well as adapting to the multidiscipline approach in this area.

Typical work tasks can be:

  • Ensure involvement and collaboration across disciplines related to SIS follow-up in operation. Initiating, coordinating, and managing the analytical processes related to safety instrumented systems in across Aker BP assets.
  • Key Application Responsible for SIS related analysis tool. Performing data extraction and analysis on SIS performance across all Aker BP assets. If needed initiating defect elimination & root cause analysis related to results from SIS analyses.
  • Support asset in SIL verification, RNNP reporting of SIS performance and in internal & external audit.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular cross functional meetings as defined in Aker BP’s management system for follow-up of SIS in Operations.Continuous and cross asset alignment & improvement to ensure ‘best practice’ and addressing operational deviations.
  • Ensure involvement and collaboration across disciplines related to SIS follow-up in operation. Including involvement in barrier management from a SIS perspective

Skills and qualifications:

  • Master of Science within risk management, maintenance & reliability, technical safety, automation, process or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
  • Preferred minimum 10 years’ experience within either of the relevant disciplines.
  • Good understanding and experience with NOROG070, IEC 61508/61511.
  • Good understanding of risk & barrier management.
  • Previous experience with maintenance data & reliability analysis, barrier management and/or condition based maintenance will be an advantage.
