This position is part of an enthusiastic team that is responsible for HSE disciplines in Aker BP, more specifically the Climate and External Environment group. We are responsible for ensuring that our operations seek, identify, and implement initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint, follow the circular economy hierarchy, and ensure we are ready for implementing new environmental regulations and standards such as CSRD.

We support the operative business units with climate and sustainability expertise and advice, from development projects to operations and drilling and wells. You will be responsible for following up circular economy in the company, further develop engagement with suppliers on circularity and climate-related Scope 3 reporting and contribute with topical input to development projects from early phase to decommissioning.

Typical work tasks can be:

  • Drive implementation of circular economy strategy and ensure adequate processes and methods within this area.
  • Identify and follow up sustainability initiatives in development projects.
  • Participate in relevant networks and technical communities, and ensure learning transfer where this creates value for Aker BP.
  • Responsible for CDP reporting and environmental input to annual company report.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Education – Master degree within relevant disciplines (i.e. Petroleum, Chemistry, Biology)
  • Minimum 7 years’ climate/sustainability experience in relevant industry
  • The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed
  • Fluent abilities in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written
