Project Manager – Engineering data system lead

Aker BP and the Yggdrasil project is leading the way towards a new future operating model and digitalizing Life Cycle Information is key for reaching our operating strategy. Succeeding with this will streamline work processes and enable AI in the digital ecosystem. Moving from documents to structured data will change the way we manage and use LCI. User adoption and change management is therefore key to succeed on value realization.
This position will be a member of the Engineering team in Aker BP and will be seconded to Yggdrasil-Asset. The position reports daily to the Yggdrasil Asset Engineering Manager. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the new engineering and design data management system (EDDM) is fit for Operations need, adopted as required and that value is fully realized.
Typical work tasks can be:
- Own the plan for implementation and Stakeholder management in Operations
- Ownership of the operationalization of the system making sure the organisation is ready for using it including training, change management etc.
- Ensure that new requirements and work processes are established in collaboration with LCI, and adopted by users
- Manage interfaces between the EDDM project team and engineering disciplines through all phases of the project
- Engage with other Yggdrasil operation workstreams that rely on digital LCI and data to understand functions and needs for the system
- Close cooperation with Yggdrasil business owners to ensure work processes and methods are changed to fit the new system and New Ways of Working
- Close cooperation with the digital portfolio manager to ensure supporting systems and tools are meeting our needs.
- Lead implementation of EDDM structured data into Digital Worker to fully realize potential
- Bridging between developers and users ensuring efficient testing and follow up of improvements
Skills and qualifications:
- Education – Relevant Engineering Master. Relevant experience can compensate for education.
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience within Engineering, LCI and Digital Ecosystem
- Experience with implementation and use of digital engineering systems
- Proven track record from similar positions.
- Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
