Need to have

  • M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Cybernetics, Industrial IT, or a closely related field.

  • Academic results reflecting a 'B' average or higher (or equivalent).

  • Fluent in both English and Norwegian, and legally authorized to work in Norway for the program's duration.

  • Ability to perform technical calculations for power systems (LV/MV/HV), control system logic, network configurations, and signal processing.

  • Eagerness and ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments, including significant time offshore.

  • Prioritizes safety, quality, and structured ways of working in all tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures.

Nice to have

  • A curious, proactive attitude, taking ownership and seeking learning opportunities.

  • Relevant prior experience from studies, internships, summer jobs, or a master's/project thesis focusing on electrical systems, preferably within an industrial or oil & gas context.

  • An Apprenticeship Certificate in a relevant electrical discipline.

  • Working knowledge of electrical operational tools and systems and industrial communication protocols relevant to electrical systems or engineering documentation.

  • Experience with Python or Power BI.

  • Practical experience using AI tools to enhance personal work efficiency

Through a series of rotations and crucial offshore and onshore placements, you will develop the skills to handle complex electrical challenges at the interface of hardware and software, contributing to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement.

  • Electrical systems support
    Support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of critical electrical systems (LV/MV/HV).

  • Troubleshooting & Analysis
    Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical equipment failures.

  • Power system reliability
    Contribute to reliability and integrity assessments of power systems.

  • Electrical modification projects
    Assist in modification projects and upgrades of electrical installations.

  • Compliance & Safety
    Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, safety requirements and procedures.

Your journey in Electrical Engineering

This role places you directly at the interface of electrical hardware and software, offering hands-on experience with power systems critical to real-time operations. Unlike many other disciplines, you will frequently work across both offshore and onshore contexts, gaining a holistic understanding of electrical system interactions and contributing to digitalization, remote operations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical domain.

  • Electrical power systems
    Engage with LV/MV/HV power systems, focusing on maintenance, improvement, and reliability in operational assets.

  • Electrical control logic
    Work with electrical control system logic to optimize power distribution and ensure system safety.

  • Digitalization & AI
    Contribute to system integration, apply data analysis (PIMS/historian) and AI tools to enhance electrical operational efficiency.

  • Offshore rotations
    Gain mandatory hands-on experience in a live offshore environment, applying your skills to real-world electrical challenges.
