Seize the opportunity to join Aker BP and play a key role in shaping our industry-leading finance community as our new cost controller. As a Cost Controller you will be closely connected to the operation and maintenance activities performed by the assets. You will work closely with the asset, supporting and cooperating with budget executors from multiple disciplines. You will get a good strategic understanding of Aker BP Cost Management processes and approach as part of the Cost Management team within Business Finance

Typical work tasks can be:

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of forecasts for operations and maintenance cost, including challenging the assets and their cost
  • Execute monthly meetings with budget managers and executers within the assets as part of cost management of operating costs
  • Deliver accrual and cash call input in the monthly financial close of the assets' operating costs
  • Prepare and provide relevant variance analysis on a monthly basis e.g. input to partner reports and to the financial reporting team
  • Support the asset and their Budget Managers/Executors with cost information and reports, and other financial issues together with the asset finance roles
  • Provide input to asset opex budget

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in economics or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office systems skills (Power BI, Excel, etc)
  • Preferably experienced with SAP
