Introducing the Leonardo AW189
Modern all-weather helicopter
Proven technology, advanced glass cockpit, high automation, solid power reserves, optimised for offshore operations. Although the AW189 is new to Aker BP, the helicopter type has already accumulated 250,000 flight hours globally.
Spacious cabin
Cabin with large windows and wide seats in three unique configurations. Starting in “club” layout (illustrated); forward-facing rotation will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.
Luggage hold
Luggage hold for 20 bags (60×30×30 cm). To avoid luggage being left behind, we encourage one bag per passenger, or minimum size in soft format for a second bag. An external baggage pod is under development to increase total capacity to 30.
Noise reduction
The cabin is equipped with Peltor Optime III ear defenders without music, noise reduction up to 34 dB. New ear defenders with music are under development.
