Disclosure of voting rights

Reference is made to the extraordinary general meeting in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (`the Company`) in Trondheim on 19 October at 5 p.m. Chairman of the Board, Svein Sivertsen has as of 18 October received 4,727,333 power of attorneys to vote on the extraordinary general meeting. Sivertsen has thus exceeded the 5 percent disclosure threshold in relation to the number of voting rights in the Company to be exercised without instruction.

Including own shares, Sivertsen has voting rights for 4,742,333 shares, which represents 7.3 percent of the votes in the Company.
