We are looking for you who are innovative, committed, and eager to strengthen the subsea team in Aker BP. By joining our team in Operations, you will have the opportunity to; join a professional network responsible for operation and technical support of Aker BP’s subsea facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

As a Senior Subsea Engineer, you will be part of an enquiring and committed Subsea team in Operations department. Our team is responsible for safe and efficient operation of subsea equipment, providing daily support to Assets including maintenance, inspection, test, and repair across the Aker BP assets.

Typical work tasks will be:

  • Follow up technical integrity of subsea systems.
  • Manage subsea system barriers and equipment health.
  • Risk assessment and risk management related to subsea equipment.
  • Plan, perform and analyse results from test, inspection, maintenance, and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure operational and intervention procedures include best practice relating to subsea equipment.
  • Identify degraded, damaged, or failed equipment and manage fault finding, investigation,repair or replacement activity, including writing procedures and supervising work offshore.
  • Manage deliveries and services from subsea suppliers.
  • Provide input to project basis of design and functional specifications, provide operational input to project delivery, and support efficient handover and start-up of new equipment.
  • Identify improvement opportunities across disciplines and assets, including continuous improvement of strategies and work processes.
  • Cost management for all Asset subsea budgets

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Marine Technology, Subsea Technology, Cybernetics, Mechanical Engineering or similar).
  • Operational experience with technical follow up of subsea facilities in operations phase.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with subsea facilities in operations phase.
  • Relevant experience can compensate for formal qualifications.
  • Fluent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.
